• Widget Configurations: Home screen widget settings and displayed notes

This data is never transmitted to our servers and remains entirely under your control.

To provide our services and support app development, we integrate the following third-party services:

2. Permissions We Request

Capsule Notes requests the following permissions to provide its features:

• Notifications: To deliver reminder alerts for your notes
• Exact Alarms: To schedule precise reminder notifications
• Microphone: To record voice notes (only when you initiate recording)
• Internet: Required for processing subscriptions, cloud sync, and crash reporting
• Boot Completed: To restore scheduled reminders after device restart
• Billing: To process subscription purchases through Google Play

3. Firebase Crashlytics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app stability and diagnose crashes. This service:

• Crash Reports: Automatically collects crash logs, stack traces, and the app state at the time of a crash
• Device Information: Collects device model, OS version, and orientation to help reproduce issues
• No Personal Content: Crashlytics does not access your notes, attachments, or personal content
• Anonymous: Crash data is associated with an anonymous installation ID, not your personal identity

4. RevenueCat and Subscription Data

We use RevenueCat to manage Pro subscriptions. RevenueCat:

• Creates an anonymous app user ID (not linked to personal information)
• Processes subscription status and entitlements
• Does not access your note content or personal data

5. Data Storage and Deletion

5.1 Local Storage

All your notes, preferences, and app data are stored locally on your device using:

• Room Database: For notes, tags, and structured data
• DataStore: For user preferences and settings

5.2 Deleting Your Data

You have complete control over your data:

• Individual Notes: Delete through the app's trash feature (permanently removed after 30 days or manually)
• All App Data: Uninstalling the app removes all local data
• Clear App Data: Use Android Settings > Apps > Capsule Notes > Clear Data
• Subscription Data: Contact us to request deletion of RevenueCat records

5.3 Data Backup

Your device may back up app data through Android's backup service. This is controlled by your device settings and Google account preferences.

6. Data Security

We implement the following security measures:

• Local Storage: Data stored on-device is protected by Android's app sandboxing
• App Lock: Optional biometric authentication to protect access to your notes
• Note Locking: Individual notes can be locked for additional privacy
• Encrypted Connections: All network communications use HTTPS
• No Cloud Storage: We do not store your notes on external servers

7. Children's Privacy

Capsule Notes is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to delete it.

For users under 18, we recommend parental guidance when using any application that connects to the internet.
