Local Data Storage

HelloProgress allows you to track events, deadlines, and countdowns. Any data you enter into the App, such as event titles, notes, dates, and visual preferences, is currently stored locally on your device. We do not transmit, sync, or store this personal content on remote servers.

Device Permissions

To provide core functionalities, the App requests certain device permissions:

• Notifications: We request the POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission to send you event reminders and countdown alerts.
• Alarms and Reminders: We request the SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM permission to ensure your reminders fire exactly at the time you specify.
• Boot Completed: We request the RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED permission so that your scheduled alarms and reminders are restored after your device restarts.

2. Third-Party Services

While the core features of HelloProgress operate completely locally on your device, we plan to integrate carefully selected third-party services in the future to improve the App, monitor stability, and manage premium subscriptions. When these are introduced, they may collect specific data as outlined below:

• Google Analytics (Future Integration): May collect anonymous usage data to help us understand how the App is used, which features are popular, and how we can improve the user experience.
• Firebase Crashlytics (Future Integration): May collect crash reports, device state information, and performance data to help us identify and fix bugs, ensuring a stable App experience.
• RevenueCat (Future Integration): May be used to manage in-app purchases and premium subscriptions. This service will process subscription statuses and purchase histories, but will not have access to your personal event data.

3. Data Security

Since your event data is stored locally on your device, its security largely depends on the security of your device. We recommend keeping your device locked with a PIN, password, or biometric authentication to prevent unauthorized access.

4. Data Retention

Your local event data remains on your device until you manually delete it within the App or uninstall the App entirely. If you uninstall the App without using Android's backup feature, your data will be permanently lost.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take necessary actions.
