Atmos Weather ("we," "our," or "the App") is a weather application that provides current weather information and forecasts. 2.1 Information You Provide

Location Data (Optional): If you grant location permission, we access your device's GPS to provide weather for your current location. This data is sent only to WeatherAPI.com to retrieve weather information and is not stored by us.
Search Queries: When you search for locations, your queries are sent to Mapbox for geocoding.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Through our third-party service providers, the following information may be collected automatically:

Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers
Advertising ID: Your device's advertising identifier for personalized ads
Usage Data: App usage patterns, features used, session duration
Crash Data: Crash logs, error reports, and app state at the time of errors
Purchase Information: Subscription status and transaction IDs (managed by RevenueCat)

3. How the App Works

Current Location Weather: If you grant location permission, the app uses your device's GPS to fetch weather data from WeatherAPI.com. Location coordinates are transmitted only for this purpose.
Manual Location Search: Search queries are sent to Mapbox Search Box API to retrieve location suggestions and coordinates.
Local Storage: Your preferences, saved locations, and settings are stored locally on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

Atmos Weather uses the following third-party services:

4.1 Google AdMob (Advertising)

We display advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free version of the app.

Data collected by AdMob:

Advertising ID
Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
IP address (for geographic targeting)
Ad interaction data (views, clicks)

Opt-out: You can opt out of personalized advertising by going to your device's Settings > Privacy > Ads and enabling "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (Android) or "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS).

4.2 Firebase Crashlytics (Crash Reporting)

We use Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix app crashes and errors.

Data collected:

Crash logs and stack traces
Device state at crash time
Installation UUID (anonymous identifier)
App version and configuration

This data helps us improve app stability and is not used for advertising purposes.

4.3 Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app.

5. Data Storage

Data stored locally on your device includes:

App settings and theme choices
Backup files (if created by you)
Unlocked theme purchases

This data remains on your device and is never uploaded to our servers. You can delete it by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.

6. Backup and Restore

Backup files are stored locally on your device and are under your complete control. If you export backups to cloud storage services, those services' privacy policies apply.

7. Advertising

Atmos Weather displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Free users see native ads within the app. Premium subscribers (Atmos+) enjoy an ad-free experience.

Your Choices:

Personalized Ads: Opt out via device Settings > Privacy > Ads
Remove Ads: Subscribe to Atmos+ for an ad-free experience

8. Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand app usage and improve stability. This data is:

Anonymized and aggregated
Not used for advertising targeting
Not shared with third parties for their own purposes
Used solely to improve the app

9. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Atmos Weather offers optional premium subscriptions ("Atmos+") that provide:

Ad-free experience
Unlimited saved locations
Premium themes and icon styles
Widget customization
Backup and restore features

Subscriptions are processed through Google Play and managed by RevenueCat. We do not store your payment information.
